I am a person-centred Counsellor which means that the work is centred around you and what you need. I work from an Integrative perspective which allows me to use other techniques such as art therapy or CBT if it helps you to access some aspect of your difficulty. I believe in the limitless potential of my clients to grow and develop.
Sometimes it is easier to talk to someone who is not close to you. There is nothing mysterious about the counselling process – it is just an opportunity to have a fresh, perhaps more objective look at your thoughts and feelings at a time when things may seem unclear.
As a humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist, I may sometimes offer you a challenging view of your difficulties but my clients are always in control of the process, we talk about what you want to talk about and move at a pace that is comfortable for you. I will offer acceptance, understanding, complete confidentiality and a safe place in which to explore your difficulties.
I am passionate about my profession because working as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist allows me the enormous privilege of working with people in progressing their psychological and emotional health and fulfilling their potential.
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and if you feel that you have a complaint that we are not able to resolve together you can contact them at www.bacp.co.uk
